DAY 1: MEET TANGER PORT AND DRIVE TO CHEFCHAOUEN:
days route from Tangier to Marrakech: During the first day of your trip we will meet you at the port or airport and drive through the Rif Mountains passing by the city of Tetoun to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains until we reach Chefchaouan one of the amazing villages at the foot of Rif Mountains. The medina of Chefchaouen where you will have lunch before continuing to Fes where we will spend the night in the traditional Moroccan riad .
DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES:
After breakfast at the riad. Our journey will begin towards Volubilis crossing via Wazan and other rif villages. In Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological site of Moroccan history. After the visit of the ruins we will change our way towards the city of Meknes. Heritage of the 17th century. Where we will stop for lunch and walk along the huge historical walls of the medina, bab el mansour and enjoy the visit of the moulay sanctuary ismail. After visiting Meknes, we will head directly to the city of Fes, where you will spend the night in a Riad.
DAY 3: FES VISIT:
After breakfast in your riad , you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco. Walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit begins by visiting the gate of the Royal Palace, the Jewish barracks, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will make sure that you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University . After lunch, you will visit the tile cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.
DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – MERZOUGA – CAMLE RIDE AND NIGHT IN A CAMP:
After breakfast at your hotel, you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud . You will travel through the fascinating Tiz Pass Ntalghamt and the Ziz Gorge. Enjoying views of the High Atlas Plateau. You will notice the landscape change to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the town of Errachidia , here you will have lunch and enjoy Berber hospitality. Afterwards you will travel along the Ziz Valley , stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani . Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. You will be greeted with a glass of mint tea before starting your camel trek for an overnight stay in the desert camp with Berber music and sandboarding .
DAY 5: MERZOUGA – TODGHA GORGES – DADES VALLEY:
We will wake up early to watch the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes before returning by camel to our guesthouse for breakfast and a shower. Later we will drive through the Saghro Mountains. We will arrive at the Todgha Gorge , where we will enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch and take a short walk through the gorge before arriving at the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH:
After breakfast, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate . The route through the Dades Valley is the road of a thousand kasbahs , offering numerous opportunities to take some of the best photographic shots of the trip. We will stop at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah for lunch, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After that we will change the road to cross the Atlas Mountains full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages along the way to Marrakech. Overnight in an elegant Riad in the medina.
DAY 7: MARRAKECH CITY TOUR:
After breakfast at the Riad, you can start exploring Marrakech. We will make sure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs , the Bahia Palace . After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and see hundreds of crafts. In the afternoon, you will have free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of the city.
DAY 8: MARRAKECH – AIRPORT: end of 8 days route tour from Tangier to Marrakech
