DAY 1: MARRAKECH – TELOUET – AIT BENHADDOU – SKOURA
This Route is 5 Days Marrakech Fez: Depart from Marrakech to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains Tizi Pass n’Tichka along the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the Kasbah of Telout and the universal heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah where you have lunch. In the afternoon, we will pass through Ouarzazate , we will reach the palm groves of Skoura for dinner and spend the night in a kasbah .
DAY 2: SKOURA VALLEY – DADES – TODRA GORGES
From Skoura palmery we go further southeast to Dades Gorges and Todgha gorges along arid landscapes and mountains, before passing through a town called Tineghir the nerve center of the area. We head along the Todra Valley, which is huge for its oasis and grooves of palm trees. We continue through the Todra canyons where we spend the night in a Hôtel .
DAY 3: TODRA GORGES – TAMTATOUCHT – AMELAGOU – MERZOUGA DUNES (ERG CHEBBI)
From the Todra Gorges we climb along arid landscapes and mountains to an altitude of 2000m where we find many Berber villages in the Ait Besser valley. Hani , before passing through a small village called Amelagou , the nerve centers of the area. We pass Erfoud , it is well known with its fossil factories where they make beautiful shapes and pieces of mountain rocks. Then we will head to the Erg Chebbi sand sea . We continue deeper into the desert landscape, until the dunes appear in the middle of nowhere, overnight in a Berber camp.
DAY 4: ERG CHEBBI – EXPLORATION OF THE MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast at the camp, there are many options available to you:
You can go to explore the neighboring villages of Merzouga like Hassi Labied , Khamlia .
You can also enjoy a drive through the Erg Chebbi dunes and see the nomads living in tents in the desert.
Enjoy the camel ride in the Erg Chebbi dune line .
DAY 5: ERG CHEBBI – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDELT – AZROU – IFRANE – FEZ: the end of your 5 days Route tour Marrakech Fez
After breakfast, we ride back to the hotel on the dune line by camel for a quick shower. We drive towards Fes, stopping along the way to enjoy the panoramic views over the Ziz Valley before crossing the High Atlas Mountains again. We pass through a town called Midelt where we will have lunch. Pass through Azrou , Ifrane and its huge cedar forest to see the monkeys. We continue towards the legendary city of Fez.
